Peanut Butter Protein Shake
This whole month I’ve been focusing on the little things I can do to feel better, keep healing my body, and lose my attachment to some unhealthy habits.
One of the things I’ve decided to do is add Vega’s maca to my everyday supplement list. Why is maca so great? Maca regulates hormonal imbalances, improves strength and energy, is a memory enhancer, increases blood circulation, and helps to regulate and stabilize the various systems in your body such as the lymph system, the circulatory system, the hormonal system, the musculature system. Since my accident, these are all things that I’ve been needing help with.
I also take my spirulina daily, and if not that, I take Vega’s chollera. I see these both as my daily “multi-vitamin”, which help with energy, and hormonal imbalances as well. Thank you to Vega for letting me try these supplements!
They also sent me their Antioxidant Omega Oil Blend, which I love putting in smoothies and salads. It’s such an exotic luxury containing the oil from blueberry seeds, hemp, pumpkin seeds, flax, black cumin seeds, raspberry seeds, cranberries, and pomegranates (ect).
Vega also sent me a magical peanut butter recipe, so I’m sharing it with you!
This smoothie won’t only satisfy your taste buds, it will start you on your way to recovery (after a workout, or maybe just a long morning of chasing kids). Why not drink 25 grams of plant-based protein, as well as BCAAs and glutamine, in a delicious peanut butter mocha shake?! Makes 1 Serving.
Vegan Peanut Butter Protein Shake
- 1 Tbsp peanut butter
- 1 red apple
- ½ frozen banana
- 1 serving Vega Sport Performance Protein Mocha
- 1 cup almond milk
- ½ cup ice
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
Also, if you win one of the top three prizes from the Colourful Smoothie Challenge, you’ll get to try their sport line protein powder!
Have you tried the Vega Sport line? Is PB your thing? Or are you more an almond butter fan? Tell me your fave nut butter!

I love Vega! Just made a mocha mint smoothie out of my Mocha protein powder!
Absolutely love Vega! Haven’t yet tried the mocha protein powder, but that smoothie does really look delicious!
I’ve never tried Vega, but it looks good! I’m still trying to find my best post workout recovery food/drink. Thanks for sharing!
Eek this sounds like such a neat combo! I’ll have to sub soy milk/ soy nut butter but the apple and banana seem like such a neat combination with those ingredients. Reminds me of my childhood when I’d dip apples into soy nut butter or make sandwiches using banana and peanut butter!
Nothing to me can replace the deliciousness of peanut butter! No jokes, I actually wake up in the middle of the night and think about peanut butter. Not sure if it’s the protein or the fat that I’m missing, or I’m just obsessed. haha.
Trevor – Haha, you dream about PB too. I’m certain.
