Low Carb Pumpkin Pie Protein Shake
What to do with all this pumpkin that is still in vogue? Okay, so I didn’t cook an actual pumpkin…at all. I actually just bought one can of pumpkin puree and now I’m like…”I got half a can of pumpkin. What now?”
So I do have the pumpkin cream cheese pancake on my menu…but you know how I like my protein shakes…so this recipe got my pumpkin first.
It’s low carb, sugar free, got your healthy fats, protein, and even some veggies (i.e. that aforementioned pumpkin). Perfect to start your day with all your bases covered.
I also put this magical superfood called Red Palm Oil in my smoothie (which is totally optional), but you know, if you have it…why not?
A few reasons why red palm oil is so magical:
- Contains carotenoids
- Full of vitamin E (tocopherols and tocotrienols)
- Protection against some cancers and heart disease
- Promotes healthy skin, hair, and nails
- Contains water-soluble powerful antioxidants, phenolic acids and flavonoids
- Powerful mop for free radicals
- Heals buildup of plaque in arteries
Low Carb Pumpkin Pie Protein Shake
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 2 tbsp. half and half (opt)
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 – 1 scoop protein powder*
- 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp. organic red palm oil (opt)
- 4-8 vanilla stevia (or other sweetener)
- A few ice cubes
*I used whey protein
Blend. You know the drill. Top with pumpkin spice and probably some whip cream. I was out. Which broke my heart.
Happy leftover pumpkin week!

This smoothie looks amazing!! Would’ve tried it for Day 1, but didn’t have any pumpkin! I’d have to say my favourite smoothie is Pina Colada, but that can always change!
