Goodbye Grandpa
I took a week off blogging..but with good reason.
I found out last week that Grandpa had passed away. Even though he was 91 years old, somehow it came as a great shock to me. When this happens, you just take a few steps back and retreat from things.
And it’s not bad.
There were so many things I loved about my Gramps. He was a pastor most of his life and loved Jesus so much. He had the hugest heart for people and the zaniest sense of humor. He loved to pray for people and was always reaching into his pocketbook, making sure people had enough money to pay for their groceries or fuel…or maybe just a chocolate bar.
He always had chocolate in his room. Man, that guy was a man after my heart!
It’s sad to think he won’t be around for me anymore…but I’m honestly so happy that he is with His Savior and his wife again. The joy he is experiencing now is worth every moment of sadness might have happened on earth.
I’m so grateful to God for the hope we have. And I’m looking forward to seeing Gramps again…
I’ll be back next week…

Sending Love and Hugs! XOXO
He sounds like such a beautiful amazing man!
Sorry to hear. We are actually visiting family right now for the same reason. Thoughts are with you!
