Long Hair Love with Garnier
I don’t look good with short hair. At least, I don’t think so. Somehow with my almost freakish tall height (I’m exactly 6 feet) having short hair makes me look all out of proportion.
While I really love my long hair, I’m not going to lie. It needs extra love. The ends of your hair are older, so they need to be treated more gently to prevent breakage or split ends. I also have an obsession with using a curling iron, so my hair can have a tendency to dry or break easier. And no, I won’t give up my heat styling tools. I’m not quite that natural.
I haven’t found the perfect hair care yet. I tend to use coconut oil on the ends of my hair, but aside from that and forgoing the hair dryer (when possible), I don’t really have any set habits for taking care of my long hair besides the basics.
Garnier sent me some samples of their newest line called Fructis Damage Eraser. When I read the description of the products, it sounded just perfect for my long tresses in need of much care. It’s designed to reconstruct and preserve the strength of each individual hair – new, fresh hair that can reconstruct your hair’s strength by 90%. While I’ve just started using it (and love it!), it’s shown to reconstruct the hair strength from root to tip.
I guess there’s some “magical” formula in the hair care line that uses something called Phyto-Karatin and cupacacu butter that repairs hair and reconstructs strength (as well as preventing hair from future damage). I’m down with that.
They have a Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as a Strength Reconstructing Butter (a luxurious hair mask you leave on for 3-5min). Afterwards, I found my hair to be super soft, manageable, and yes…maybe a little bit stronger too. However, I’ve just started using the line, so I expect more results as I continue to use it. Having somewhat dryer and a tendency for more split ends, I was so curious to see how these products would work and I’m pleased with the results. Yay, for a resistance to dry hair and breakage!
(After the hairwashing experiment)
I’m curious to hear what you think of it…and if you hurry, you can visit the Garnier website to learn more about the NEW Fructis Damage Eraser product line and to take advantage of the limited time trial offers. So do it.
