Goals for August and Challenge Questions

I’m so excited about all of you who have talked to me about the challenge! It’s going to be so fun. There are couple gals teaming up for the challenge…and I think that’s a great idea! Find a friend or sister and keep each other accountable!

There’s a few people who are traveling/camping during the month of August. I remember when I did the challenge last year I did a fair amount of travel as well…that’s when I brought my Vega Smoothie or a protein shake and substituted that for an actual blender smoothie…or else I hopped into a smoothie shop along the way. Me and Booster Juice are buddies.

Last year, I started the challenge because I wanted to kickstart my month into one of those “focused” months. You know, when you have a few specific goals and you go CRAZY to achieve them.

For those of you who are doing the challenge with me, I want you to set some goals too, and then – GO GET THEM! Let’s make August a bit on the awesome side!

Here are my goals!

1.    Have one smoothie a day (probably as a meal replacement)
2.    Do 3-5 SUPER SWEATY workouts weekly
3.    Time spent with God daily
4.    Do a 5 day cleanse with Philosophie

Those are my physical/spiritual goals…so often, we focus on just the body and it’s so IMPORTANT to spend quality time with God daily. It’s something I’m really trying to work on getting more of. I’ve been going through She Reads Truth Bible studies and I love doing them in the morning.

I also have a few “to-do” goals I want to achieve.

1.    Become officially certified with Group Fitness (Ahhh! This one is exciting!)
2.    Become the most organized person in the world (JK – however, I’m working on decluttering and figuring out a new planning system for my life/blog/work)
3.    Get better at driving standard (Oh my word. We’ll see. I kind of just see myself rolling down hills and running into people)

There are other things on my list too…and I’m going to take a big piece of paper and a Sharpie, write it out, and MAKE IT HAPPEN. If you’re doing this too, be sure to hang it up somewhere you will see it all the time! Maybe your fridge, bathroom mirror, or beside your bed/desk…keep your goals at the forefront of your mind.

Now onto some questions I’ve gotten….

Can we Instagram (using the hash tag) pictures of our smoothies or will you only accept twitter entries? Either way I’m excited!

It’s just a lot to keep track of if we do Instagram too…however, you can still use IG, just push it to twitter and make sure to hashtag #colourfulsmoothie and tag me @colourfulpalate so I can count it!

Is there a limit to one smoothie a day?

Oh no, no limit! You can tweet me twice a day if you have two smoothies! :) Bring on the smoothie love!

I juice almost daily. I can’t do smoothies right now, can I still play?!

YES! Juices are a fabulous too! As for beverages, we’ll keep it to shakes, smoothies, and juices!

Does this start Thursday?

Yes! Just TOMORROW! So excited!

    If you want to become the most organized woman in the world, you may want to ask me for tips and tricks – I am crazy organized that it’s almost scary and… sick?! LMFAO!!!!!

    I cannot believe August is ALREADY here! I am sooooo pumped for the holidays, lol!

    OMG Charissa get outta my head LOL, we have the same goals almost, here are mine for the smoothie challenge…and some of them hopefully for life :-)

    I included the Smoothie challenge in my August goals as well. The first thing that came to mind was “I am going away for 10 days” so I am glad to hear that you made it work during your travels as well. Do Booster Juice/Pre-Made smoothies count as well? It’s a great incentive for my health but the prizes are a nice bonus if I do win. (Crossing my fingers)
