Workouts and Touring Portland (FitBloggin)
Here’s the last of my recap of FitBloggin…
On Saturday I started the day out with a workout with my Sweat Pink ladies. I finally got to meet Jamie and Alyse, the founders of Sweat Pink. Jamie led an awesome class. Plus she wore jellyfish pants – which obviously means she’s very cool
.
On the left is Rebecca, who manages the social media side of Sweat Pink. They’re all super sweet and yes, this is clearly “a tall on one side and shorter on the other” kind of picture.
After that class, my new and fabulous friend Nicole and I worked out in the JumpSport trampoline class. It was so delightful to feel like a kid again and just jump around have fun!
Jumping and looking slightly un-fabulous…but oh-so fun. I even caught the all-talented FitBloggin organizer Roni jumping on my trampoline. I likes her…a lot. She’s so full of spunk.
That afternoon I did some exploring with friends and Bobbi introduced us to the Veggie Grill, which is, delicious! I had a kale salad with fake “chickin” and I couldn’t get over how it tasted so much like the real thing.
Then came the evening and we had the reception for the conference. We got all dolled up for the occasion.
I heart these girls (Kasy, Katie, myself, Bobbi, and Lisa).
Rocking the Sweat Pink shades…
Tim the runner showing off Nutrex Hawaii’s BioAstin (perfect for runners!). Thanks to Nutrex Hawaii, I was so happy to share some spirulina love with people there!
Theses sisters I’ve been wanting to meet foreeeever. Kymberly and Alexandra from FunFit! They just make me happy and I need to be around them more. I just do.
And then the craziest thing happened…NutriLite was giving away some awesome prizes and I was just sitting at the table thinking I hadn’t entered…and suddenly I heard my name called…and I won a mini iPad!
I’m still in awe over this…what a crazy surprise. I was really excited because my old iPad’s screen was cracked.
After the reception, Lisa, Kasy, Giselle, Bobbi, and I headed down to TartBerry and tried their frozen yogurt. I had never seen so many toppings for frozen yogurt before! What’s shown in the picture isn’t even all of it!
It was a beautiful evening for a walk…and Portland is just gorgeous at nighttime. I love how, in the evenings, people in Portland really seem to dress up. Since I’m from the west part of Canada (where people are more casual), it was really fun to be part of the dressy-ness. All in all, it was the perfect ending to a lovely day.
The following morning started with a fun run of your choice (1 miles, 5k, or 10k). I chose to do the 5k and ran it with Kasy. We chatted the whole time which made it go by fast…I LOVED getting to know this girl. She has such a big heart for God and I was so blessed by her! After breakfast we headed to Voodoo donuts to try out their Portland famous donuts!
My plane didn’t leave until 7 o’clock that evening so I spent my time exploring more of Portland, getting lunch at Whole Foods (which was SO delicious), and getting some blogging done at Starbucks.
It was an amazing time – thank you Nutrex Hawaii for sending me! If any of you want any more info about my obsession with spirulina, I’d be happy to answer any questions! Also, the code for 20% discount for spirulina is current for a couple more weeks so you might want to take advantage of it!
Have you ever been to Portland? Do you ever eat meals at Whole Foods Market?
