Silent 10 Workout
It’s hard to get your workout in when you’re traveling (speaking from personal experience). I usually end up getting out at gas stations and doing some stretches, lunges, wall pushups and calf raises…whatever I can, to get my body moving. Sitting all day is just not cool.
When we stop for night, I try to get exercise when I can…but some places don’t have a gym or it’s too late to go out for a walk/run. We often stay at people’s homes and if I stay up later, I don’t want to make a lot of noise.
So this workout helps out when you don’t have a lot of time or when you don’t want to make a racket, and you don’t have weights to work with.
The Silent 10 Workout (2-3x)
- 10 pushups
- 10 Mountain Climbers (each leg)
- 10 Bicycles
- 10 Crunches
- 10 Reverse Crunches
- 10 Squats
- 10 Lunges (each leg)
- 10 Side Plank Pulses (R)
- 10 Side Plank Pulses (L)
- 10 V-sits
Let me know if you did and how you liked it? What’s your favourite “quiet” exercise?

I know what you mean. My least favorite part about traveling is the sitting in a vehicle for hours. If I’m not the one driving, I try to make up exercises I can do in my seat. You can do an arm workout, contract/release your abs and do a seated run in place, etc. Just get creative.
Shannonmarie ~ I love your ideas!
Your list of silent workouts is awesome.
Thanks for sharing.
Oh, I found this at the perfect time! I was just agonizing over a way to get a workout in without bothering my sister, who’s studying for a test. Looks like this workout is a winner :)
Best,
Danielle
