Pink Hot Chocolate and Birthdays
Thank you all for the happy birthday wishes…I certainly had a happy day. I was able to meet up with some friends in between classes, and we went out to Cora’s for lunch. That place is like breakfast heaven…except for the part where the staff starts singing to you about “getting old” while handing you a bird made of an apple (cute though!).
I feel like life has been so crazy lately, so obviously I haven’t had much time to blog. Aside from being a full-time student, I’m also pretty involved with a lot of other things that take up any of my free time. From workout classes, judo, volleyball, floor hockey, Bible study, the gym, teaching boot-camp, other web work, and some social things…I haven’t been the most dedicated blogger. Once this semester is out, just know that will change!
….Lots of studying happening around here. And yes, that’s pink hot chocolate! I got ridiculously excited…because I didn’t know such a thing existed! Healthy it was not, but it certainly was fun!
I love fruit breakfasts when I’m on the go…and this one is my ultimate favourite. Half a cantaloupe scooped out with a spoon. Sometimes I even sprinkle a little Himalayan pink salt on there to bring out the flavours! So yummy.
This whole semester I’ve been obsessed about sweet potatoes…every time I go to the grocery store I’ll pick one up. I typically roast them in the oven at 450 degrees with organic coconut oil and pink sea salt on top. Amazing.
But it’s not all healthy!! Believe me…I believe in eating some naughty things! EVERYTHING in balance!
Case and point.
A couple weeks ago my room mate and I made chocolate chip cinnamon rolls. They were kind of epic.
I think one of my favourite things about living on my own is (drumroll)…grocery shopping. I’ve always been pretty good about getting good deals and the best price…so it’s fun for me to buy my own groceries. This grocery haul (pictured) cost me exactly $5.37…
Hope you enjoyed a little peak into my life right now…more will come!
