Lemon Sesame Dressing
I am a big devotee of homemade salad dressings; they are just so much more flavourful than the store bought versions. Plus, you don’t have all that hydrogenated fat, white sugar, excess sodium, and processed ingredients that you can’t pronounce. I like things simple…and healthier.
People often have the idea that if you eat salads it will help with reducing calories…which can be true, but it really depends on what you`re topping your salads with. A lot of the bottle dressings are high in calories and loaded with bad fats. Besides, I like the fresh flavour and the fact that I understand the ingredient list. It’s nice too, because it doesn’t separate as easily as other dressings do.
Today I had in mind I wanted a really tangy dressing. Something easy, with a zippy taste. This is what I came up with. We had this on our salad with our pizza dinner tonight. Everyone loved it and thought the flavor accented the greens perfectly, without being overpowering. I liked it so much I used it as a dip for my pizza crusts.

This is absolutely delicious! I just made it with toasted sesame oil and substituted the truvia for organic maple sugar….amazing!
