My Mini Holiday
Yesterday I got back from a lovely time away…we had a couple days at a cottage by a lake with friends and then the rest of the trip was singing and playing with the family band. It was so nice to just get away for a few days…I love traveling. Meeting new people, seeing beautiful places, eating new foods, and trying different things are just little experiences that make up a great adventure!
I even got to try windsurfing…I didn’t do it too long as I wasn’t feeling really well that day, but I had a blast! I never even got my hair wet…haha, sometimes I do have balance.
And I did a lot of this…being lazy. Sometimes it totally suits me.
My sister and I went for a walk in the rain. And I swear that even though it looks like I gained like 60 pounds on holiday, it’s really just a puffy raincoat. Totally in my colours too. Can’t think of anything more flattering actually.
Though the cabin was a lot of fun, it was great to come home and sleep in my own cozy bed, have internet, and run the tap just for the joy of having limitless water. But I’m still mourning the fact that I don’t own that raincoat.
Have you gone on vacation yet? Where would your dream holiday be?

Hi Charissa, sounds lovely! I am so jealous of the warm sunshine! Here in NZ it is the middle of winter and oh so cold. Most of the country is covered in snow – which is unusual. The best we did was a day trip Sunday to a area we’d never been not too far from home. If it wasn’t so cold and windy it would have been much perfect! :-)
Great trip! This actually sounds like the best trip ever, the one with your family. I wish I could make more trips like that with my brother and my nieces and their boyfriends, and the whole bunch, but they live in Canada and I in Europe, so that doesn’t happen very often…
You are one very lucky girl to have such big family and live close by :)
Love the raincoat :) Sounds like you had a nice and relaxing time. Good to recharge your batteries! So are there any other vacation plans?
We head out for a short vacation in early August, also to a lake. Have you ever been to Lake George in NY State? (Last of the Mohicans was filmed there) Absolutely Beautiful.
Such pretty pics. Looks like fun … and you don’t look like you gained an ounce. Gorgeous as always.
We haven’t gone on vacation yet, but we’ll be going to the beach soon. Can’t wait.
Looks like fun!!
I’d love to go somewhere with crystal blue waters – I could come out of my bed, eat fresh fruit and then snorkel the day away!
