This whole month I’ve been focusing on the little things I can do to feel better, keep healing my body, and lose my attachment to some unhealthy habits.
One of the things I’ve decided to do is add Vega’s maca to my everyday supplement list. Why is maca so great? Maca regulates hormonal imbalances, improves strength and energy, is a memory enhancer, increases Continue reading »

Guys, I’ve been loving this smoothie challenge so much.
And pairing it with the Philosophie Cleanse was the best thing ever.
If you think that doing a cleanse is too much work, or too hard…you obviously have not tried Sophie’s Philosophie Cleanse. I swear there is some sort of appetite suppressant in these superfoods…I’ve felt full the whole time. Honestly, I probably haven’t been Continue reading »

So far I’m loving the Philosophie Cleanse I’m doing. I’m drinking a ton of smoothies (sometimes a couple a day), and feeling great!
I asked Sophie if I could share one (or two!) of her amazing recipes and graciously said I could. I swear everything that Sophie makes is magically delicious. Add lots of Continue reading »

I’ve been challenging myself to upping my healthy eating, and decreasing my sugar (or my cheats) drastically. Sunday is usually the day where I allow myself more wiggle room, but for a season I’ve decided to tighten my game a little…and for me that’s sticking to the low carb, no sugar lifestyle Continue reading »

So yes, this may be the third ice-cream recipe I’ve posted in a short time period. I don’t think you’re allowed to judge, but if you want to…that’s okay too. Basically I just really like ice-cream.
This one has a little more fat content, but is a scrumptious, creamy classic. A skeleton for your wildest ice-cream dreams!
Low Carb Vanilla Ice-Cream
- 1 cup almond milk, unsweetened
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/8 classic stevia syrup
- 1-2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of pure sea salt
Blend all the ingredients together until smooth. Add to ice-cream maker according to manufacturers instructions.
*You can use any stevia based sweetener, just add according to taste. I used this NuNaturals simple syrup and I love it.
Try these low carb, sugar free frozen desserts!
What’s your go-to, vanilla or chocolate?

Ever since I was small, I’ve had a taste for pickles.
I guess I like vinegar. Pickled onions, dill pickles, salt and vinegar chips…they are one of those flavours that I could be slightly addicted to. Also, while I’m on Continue reading »

Picture this. You’ve had the worst night with your baby. Your mascara is half on your lashes and the rest has settled on the already dark bags under your eyes. The bed has never felt so soft and you never want to leave…but you know should make breakfast.
Then, like magic, someone has entered the room with a breakfast tray with your Continue reading »
