Note: This post is from a few days ago. Unfortunately I have been having problems with my internet so I couldn’t upload it. Thank goodness it’s fixed!
I love having a day off, it’s so great to just catch up. I’m one of those people that Continue reading »

There is nothing nicer, or more refreshing, than coming home for Thanksgiving. Yes, us Canadians just had our Thanksgiving. And it was divine.
This week was

For some reason, I was surprised when I glanced at my agenda yesterday. On the page at the top of September 23, in small letters, was written First Day of Fall.
Oh.
Not sure when that happened. I guess those crisp early mornings were a good cue.
I wasn’t prepared to say goodbye to this beauty…green grass, warm summer evenings, sundresses, no jackets….
I was ready to frantically tape the leaves back on the trees and rip those long scarves off those eager freshmen as they walked past my house.
Then I sipped at melting whipped cream, topped with grains of grey salt on hot mocha and decided to wholeheartedly welcome the leaves, the scarves, and the cold mornings. Those Starbuck drinks though.
There’s also running…I do love those afternoon jogs where it’s the perfect workout temperature. And the crunch of those leaves as you walk…
Craving hot teas and coffees in the morning…and in the afternoon….and a night. There’s no shame. I’m a happy addict and there’s nothing cozier.
I welcome the tall boots and warm leggings. I also hope that this doesn’t happen again.
Some days I wish that someone could give me the “ok” before I leave the house. Might be a good idea. I wondered why my feet felt funny that day. Anyway…
Transition.
I think it makes sense for it to be fall. I feel like there’s a lot of changes around the corner, a hint of excitement that came with that cool, edgy breeze. It’s like a change in rhythm…and I’m looking forward to seeing what that looks like.
Are you having trouble saying goodbye to summer? What are you most looking forward to about fall?

Can you believe it!? It’s me! This summer has been a whirlwind, and while I thought I’d start blogging regularly after I graduated from college, a lot of things came up…and I ended up taking the summer off. It was a

This last week between work, I’ve been studying like mad.
Or trying to. I admit that when there is studying that require algebra skills, however simple the problem, I tend to daydream and spend four times the amount really needed. It’s terrible really. Numbers are not my jam.
So what have I been studying for, you wonder. Haven’t I graduated?
Well yes, I now have a diploma in Exercise Science, which is fabulous, but it doesn’t really make me a credible personal trainer. This is quite silly since I know lots of people who do a two month personal training course and are considered certified…and yet, I’ve taken two years of schooling and am not.
Anywho…the day before yesterday I packed my oatmeal and iced green tea for breakfast and made the trek to the big city to take my theory exam with CSEP.
Despite all the algebra involved, I happily passed! To celebrate, I may or may not have gone shopping in the mall afterwards. Guilty is charged.
Now all I have to do is the practical exam for it and I’ll be certified! Hopefully in a month all of this will be done!
Cheers!

Hey there. I know.
It’s been a while. Life has taken a dramatic turn and I needed to step back and take a break for a few weeks. It was needful and worthwhile
